582-2670 x114I’ve been privileged to serve as the Director of Children’s Ministries at PCOM for 21 years. Prior to coming on staff in January of 1990, I was a stay at home mom to my three children. God called me to serve in Children’s Ministries, even though my goal in life was to teach school. God just had another kind of teaching in mind for me! This past June I finished my studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master’s of Divinity. God is now calling me to something new, and I am trying hard to be open to what it is! I hope to finish the ordination requirements soon.
I’ve been married to Bob for 38 years and we’ve been Mission Viejo residents since 1986. We have 2 sons: Dave, who is married to Amanda and lives in Tucson Arizona and Marc who is currently living in Vermont. We lost our daughter Kristine to cancer in September 2010, and cherish her dear children, our grandchildren Kate (age 9) and Gavin (age 2).
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, studying and cross stitching. Kristine inspired me to scrapbook and I hope to get more motivated to find time to organize and catalog all our fun family pictures and memorabilia. I also enjoy pro football, and can talk about the NFL with the best of them! Bob and I like to travel, especially to our favorite spot, Maui, Hawaii.
My favorite Bible verse is I John 3:1 “How great is the love the Father has lavished upon on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are.” Our great God has poured out his love to us in extraordinary ways and we are blessed. I don’t understand God’s ways, but I know that God is great and greatly to be praised.
