I have been tremendously blessed by our children here at PCOM. Watching them grow in their faith and love for God is a privilege that I have enjoyed for many years. Teaching them to love and serve our great God while serving others is my great passion and God always provides many opportunities! And then there is the “fun” factor. That’s what makes Kid’s Klub the “Place for kids on Wednesday Nights”
In my time away from church I love to make jewelry and sell it at local boutiques. My time spent at my bead table is indeed as good as therapy! I love country music and going to festivals where I get to wear my cowboy boots. Getting together with friends in my book club and dinner group are wonderful times (even though I don’t cook very well, they love me anyway). The very best times are when our family gets together and we play cards for hours at a time. Our favorite game is Caramba.
Recently our church participated in our city’s Fourth of July Street Faire. What a grand day for our church family as we had a booth where we face painted and tattooed for free. The best part was how all our generations worked together to make such fun for our neighbors in the community. What a great way to meet new people as they were sitting captive while getting their faces painted. We spread a lot of good cheer that day and were repaid with big smiling (painted) faces!
Favorite Bible verse? “Be still and know that I am God” from Psalm 46:10 acts as a reminder to me to stop my busyness and listen to our Father. Things that energize me are Sunday mornings at church, seeing kids growing in their faith, the ocean and great music of all kinds.
