Theological SeminaryI am deeply blessed to work with an incredible staff here at PCOM. I provide oversight for student ministries staff, and leadership for various ministries and committees. I am currently working on the development of missional discipleship communities within the church.
I grew up in Southern California, playing soccer, surfing, and learning to follow Jesus with my friends. Since college, I have served four churches from Santa Barbara to Mission Viejo. I served at PCOM for six years in Student Ministries, then moved to Princeton for further academic work. Before returning to PCOM in 2010, I served as pastor for Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, a Taiwanese-American, multicultural new church development in Garden Grove.
My greatest joy in ministry is helping people to embody the character of Christ in the world. I have a deep passion for biblical justice and reformed theology. I love to identify what God's kingdom looks like as it unfolds in the hearts and lives of everyday people.
I met my wife Devon at Westmont and we have three amazing and miraculous little kids, Hannah, Abby, and Lucas. My daughters count on me to read Tolkien or Lewis to them at bedtime, and I often lose at Cribbage to Devon. I am a cancer survivor and a marathoner who also loves to surf and stand up paddle. I rarely decline a cup of coffee and a good conversation about scripture and theology. I am not very good at growing vegetables (though I try). I wish I hiked more often, and I ski/snowboard hardly ever.
My journey in life is captured by St. Augustine: "Our hearts are restless until they find rest in Thee."
